3rd April 2019
I am writing to inform you of some staff changes taking place at school. Mrs McKeith is starting her maternity leave at the end of this term and we wish her and her family all the best. We are looking forward to meeting the new addition to the family shortly.
Miss Miller, our midday meals supervisor is leaving at the end of this term and she will be missed by all the staff and children. Although Miss Miller has only been a member of staff since October 2018, she has had a positive impact on all the children with her lovely kind manner and attitude.
Mrs Rayner, our senior teacher is very sadly leaving us at the end of next term (term 5). Mrs Rayner joined Eastling Primary School in January 2017 and is the staff representative on the school governing body. She has transformed the teaching of maths across the school since taking over the leadership of maths. Mrs Rayner is a wonderfully creative teacher who was instrumental in leading the transformation of the quiet area into our Peace Garden. This involved setting up a volunteer group for the gardening, successfully winning a grant from Swale District Council, securing an artist to work with the whole school and working with Murston Poppy Project.
Mrs Rayner and her family are relocating to Scotland where she has secured a teaching position. Due to the summer holidays differing in England and Scotland Mrs Rayner will be leaving before the end of the school year. Mrs Mansfield will be teaching Oak class for the last part of the academic year. I am sure that you will join us in wishing Mrs Rayner all the best for her exciting new adventure and I wish to personally thank her for all that she has done for Eastling Primary School.
I am delighted to inform you that following a rigorous recruitment process that we have appointed an experienced class teacher, Mr Glazier who will be joining us in September.
Mrs M. Dale
