End of School Year
20th July 2022
I would like to begin by wishing you all a very happy summer holiday. This year has flown by and has been filled with so many amazing learning and memorable experiences for the children. We are fortunate that as a small school we are able to offer our children so many opportunities. The staff have worked hard all year and I am sure that you will agree as Ofsted confirmed in October 2021, that we have a great team of staff here at Eastling Primary School.
This time of year, brings mixed emotions as we say goodbye to our year 6 children and wish them well in the next stage of their learning journeys. We were very fortunate this year that our year 6 children were not only able to experience the PGL residential trip but to also present the school production of ‘School of Rock.’
We look forward to welcoming the children back on Monday 5th September and to meeting our new families that will be joining us, both in Acorn class and across the school. The school has some exciting plans for next year including the Key Stage Two trip on Wednesday 21st September to see The Lion King in the West End; the choir will be taking part in Young Voices at the O2 again and we will have a second group of children going to Beach School in term 1. There will be two new members of staff becoming part of our school community Miss Fielder and Miss Wallwork. Sadly, we are saying goodbye to Mrs Fox who is moving on to work in a secondary school. Mrs Fox joined Eastling Primary School in October 2018 and has been a much-valued member of staff. I am sure that you will join me in wishing Mrs Fox all the best in her new role.
Have a wonderful summer.
Mrs M. Dale
