Head Teachers Letter
4th January 2022
I hope that you had a lovely Christmas and want to wish you all a very Happy New Year. Let’s hope that 2022 starts to see some kind of normality return to our daily lives. It was unfortunate that due to the rising number of Covid cases in December that we had to cancel the annual Christingle service in St Mary’s church. The children did enjoy a shortened service on the playground which Year 6 parents attended. Our infant children really enjoyed the Nativity and we were very fortunate in being able to both record it and allow parents to come into school to watch a live performance. The children were absolutely amazing.
As a school being able to fulfil a full and enriched curriculum is at the heart of our school. My thanks go to the staff for organising the many educational trips that have already taken place this year. This term Years 3 and 4 will be attending weekly swimming lessons and Years 5 and 6 will be having weekly gym lessons at Faversham gym. Ofsted praised our school for our extracurricular provision.
As we start 2022 I can confirm that currently there is only 1 Covid case amongst the school community and we will continue to monitor the situation closely. If the numbers increase then we will put additional measures in place to protect everyone. Please ensure that you do notify the school if your child tests positive.
Thank you for your continued support and I wish you all a happy and healthy 2022.
Mrs M. Dale
