September New 2018

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back to the start of a new academic year. I hope you all had an enjoyable summer and are ready for the year ahead. The children have all settled in quickly to their New Year groups and classes. It is lovely to see how smart our children are looking in their new clean uniforms, my thanks to parents for supporting the school’s expectations regarding the uniform.

A warm welcome to the new families that have joined us at Eastling Primary School and we are very pleased with how our new Acorn children are settling in well to school life.

We are excited to welcome our new Willow class teacher, Miss Earles to Eastling Primary School. I know that you will join us in making her feel part of the school community. It was lovely to see many parents attending the meet the teacher sessions, which were held this week. Well done to the year 6 children who took part in Bikeability this week.

From September, our year 6 pupils are all being given the opportunity to be monitors. In the summer term, we will then select a group of them to be our school prefects. This gives our older pupils responsibilities and the chance to represent the school.

We are delighted to be able to offer a daily morning club, which is available to all parents from 8am at a small cost. If you wish for your child to attend morning club please contact the school office. The children should be dropped off at the school hall where a member of staff will be waiting.

As always, if you have any queries or questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher or to the office staff who will do their best to assist you. We will continue to update the schools website on a regular basis so do look at the information on there regarding class news and dates.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Dale
