Willow Class took part in a history workshop and got the opportunity to view the Faversham Magna Carta
Maple Class visited Penshurst Place to explore toys through time. We handled teddies that were 100 years old, 50 years old, 10 years old and a new teddy. Each group had a box of artefacts and had to chronologically order the toys from oldest to newest explaining their rationale. We then toured the toy museum, completing the toy quiz as we went around. We made our own Victorian thaumatrope spinning toys and played with toys from the last century including skittles, spinning tops, Rubix cubes yo-yos and more
Maple Class - During our visit to the Guildhall Museum, we examined toys through time including a pumpette, wooden acrobat, wheel of life and toy mangle. We explored how the toys were made, the materials used and made links to toys today
