At Eastling Primary School, we believe that the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils is fundamental to their enjoyment of school. As an extension of the support our pupils receive during the school day, our KS2 Reading and Wellbeing Club aims to provide a calm, nurturing and fun after school environment. Each week the children engage in a variety of activities that both support and promote positive wellbeing. They also get to enjoy squash and biscuits or cakes!
Lots of our activities are planned together as a group so that they are things we will all enjoy.
Here’s what we’ve done so far:
- Circle time reading and enjoying picture books with a theme
- Dot to dot activities
- Colour by number
- Mindfulness doodling (doodle in each bubble, thinking about things you’re grateful for)
- Design your own creature
- Make a masterpiece from a scribble
- Watching a cartoon -
- Singing to Disney music
